Heavy Duty Crimping Machine
The CT 55 heavy duty crimper is perfect for crimping loose-piece, heavy gauge applications. With the ability to deliver up to 6.2 metric tons of crimping force (at 6.5 bar), the CT 55 has plenty of crimping power for applications up to 2/0 AWG (application dependent). An optional, heavy-duty crimping head will allow you to crimp applications up to 4/0 AWG.
The CT 55 can be configured to accept a wide variety of die sets such as the new, quick-change die sets for applications from 8 – 4/0 AWG. Changing these die sets is a snap because no tools are required. The CT 55 can also be configured to accept all existing Schleuniger die sets and other name-brand sets.
Interchangeable Dies
Schleuniger's unique dies are heat treated, nickel plated steel and are designed to be used with all products in this crimping system. As no adjustment is required when changing the dies, set up is quick. Schleuniger manufactures dies for the most common terminals. In addition, custom dies can be manufactured to meet your specific application requirements. We also offer blank dies for applications where the user prefers to machine the crimp nest(s).
Terminal Locator Device
The terminal locator device is comprised of a slide and locator that can be used on all Schleuniger crimping products except the CT 10 hand tool. It is specifically designed to position the terminal correctly every time. This guarantees a consistent quality crimp, time after time. Different locators are available to hold the specific terminal to be crimped. The locator is fastened to the slide device facilitating the exact positioning of the terminal.
