PreFeeder 4000
The PreFeeder 4000 is a free-standing belt drive prefeeding machine designed to pull cable up to 1.0" (25 mm) in diameter from reels weighing up to 1,100 lbs. (500 kg). The speed of the PreFeeder 4000 is controlled by the position of the cable loop in the SP4 Sensor Pole (supplied).
The PreFeeder 4000 and SP4 Sensor Pole work together to provide a constant supply of cable to downstream automatic wire processing machines such as automatic cutting machines or automatic cut and strip machines.
This powerful prefeeder can pull cable directly from reels on wire racks or from the optional DR 4000 dereeler.
DR 4000: Tension-Free Feeding of Wire and Cable
The DR 4000 is an optional reel-loading, lifting and braking accessory that can be integrated with the PreFeeder 4000 to provide a complete heavy-duty cable prefeeding system.
The DR 4000 is mounted on casters, allowing the operator to position its shaft through the center of the reel. The operator locks the reel to the shaft and then operates a switch to lift the reel slightly above the floor so it can rotate. The brake is controlled by the PreFeeder 4000 according to the position of the cable in the SP4 Sensor Pole.
