High-Quality Fiber Window Stripping
Reaching a consistent high-quality level of fiber window stripping can be a difficult problem but not with the FWS version of the versatile PowerStrip 9500 P.
Inline fiber optic window stripping with the PowerStrip 9500 P FWS has been proven to reduce delamination and produce accurately positioned window strips that consistently test to high tensile strength values.
The FWS version also achieves excellent results for:
- end or window stripping of acrylate coating
down to bare glass
- end or window slitting of tight buffered fiber
down to 250 µm
Combinations of applications on the same assembly are also possible when the system is configured with appropriate tooling and programming.
Processing Options
The PowerStrip 9500 P FWS will measure and cut a coated fiber to length as well as strip the coating down to the bare fiber at the desired locations. The stripping location can be on either one or both ends of the fiber, or at any point along the fiber.
