Automatic Cutting Machine
The OC 3950 automatically cuts wire, cable, round material such as tubing, flat ribbon and Glass Fiber Optic (GOF) cable. This heavy-duty unit processes wire up to 4 AWG (21 mm²), cuts round material up to 0.591'' (15 mm) O.D. and cuts flat material up to 3.94'' (100 mm) wide.
Programming and operation is performed with a user-friendly control panel. Additional guides allow multiple cables to be processed simultaneously thus greatly enhancing production. The OC 3950 features a RS 232 interface capability that enables uploading / downloading of cable programs and wire lists to / from a PC.
Automatic Inline Processing
The OC 3950 can be integrated with a hot stamp marker or inkjet printer, automatic coiling machine, or wire stacker.
In addition, the machine can remotely control a JacketStrip 8300 outer jacket slitting machine to allow inline measuring, cutting and slitting of multi-conductor cables up to 0.591'' (15 mm) O.D. with unlimited stripping length.
In combination with the Schleuniger PreFeeder 2500 prefeeding machine (1) and the JacketStrip 8300 (2) jacket slitting machine, the OC 3950 (3), turns into a fully automatic processing system.
The JacketStrip 8300 enables defined slitting of the cable jackets, while the OC 3950 cuts the cables to length. Two window slits can be prepared in addition to slitting the jacket ends. An optional length encoder guarantees adherence to length tolerances.
